The procedure for the delivery of biometric data in the Czech Republic.
The law "On the stay of foreigners in the territory of the Czech Republic" (which, incidentally, came into force on January 1, 2011) says that: citizens of third countries (other than EU citizens and their family members) should receive a document with biometric data, authorizing residence in the Czech Republic. Those. if a decision is made to grant you a visa L, or to extend a visa L, or to issue a permanent residence permit, you must personally come to the regional department of azil and migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, to which you belong at the address of residence, to leave your own biometric data. At each regional office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs there are special centers in which it is possible to undergo the procedure for the delivery of biometric data. For this, the foreigner needs to be photographed on site and leave their fingerprints. It is always better to worry about the time of the visit in advance and to register by phone for a certain day and hour, otherwise (if you do not do this) you can walk for several days in a row, sit in line and not get to the reception.
When submitting biometric data, the date and time are assigned when the biometric card is ready and it will be necessary to receive it in the same department of azil and migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. If a foreigner does not come for a card in the specified period of time, the issue of obtaining or extending the visa will be suspended.
An alien who has already obtained permanent residence and has not taken a biometric card at the right time may be fined up to ten thousand crowns.
If any data specified in the biometric map is changed, for example: name, surname or address of residence, it is necessary to inform about these changes the department of azil and migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and get a new biometric map.
