The main "air gateway" to Hungary was the Franz Liszt Airport, formerly known as the Ferhidel Airport. The airport is located 16 kilometers from the center of Budapest.
Direct flights to Hungary are made by Aeroflot and UTair, as well as by the Hungarian airline Malev, also direct flights from Budapest to Moscow. Also, you can get to Hungary with transfers on Lufthansa, Aerosvit Airlines, Czech Airlines.

Terminals at the airport.
The Franz Liszt Airport consists of 4 terminals. Terminals 1, 2A and 2B are basic, and a small 4 terminal is used for general aviation.
All flights to the Schengen countries are carried out through terminal 2A, the rest of the flights pass through Terminal 2B. Terminal 1 is used for low-cost airlines. The zone of departures to the countries of the Shengge agreement is separated from the rest of flights by a glass partition. Between terminals 2A and 2B you can move on foot, and buses run to Terminal 1.
Services at the airport.
The airport has free Wi-Fi in the waiting rooms and in the check-in halls, there are also exchange offices and ATMs. Also at the airport there is a wide choice of restaurants and cafes, so in the Terminal 1 building there is the Airport Bistro restaurant, Bakery. In the building of terminal 2B there is a beer bar and coffee house Flocaf & eacute ;, where you can have coffee and a snack. Also in the terminal 2B on the ground floor are restaurants Burger King, Dr. Juice, Gundel, French Hippopotamus, and LEROY.
Passengers awaiting their flights can also find many shops at the airport. In terminal 1 there are duty free shops and a HUB store. In the same terminal there are shops Hungaricum (spirits), Moa (jewelry and accessories), Relay (newspapers and magazines), Szamos (chocolate products). There are also several duty free shops on the terminal territory2A, and jewelry shops are located on the first floor of the airport.
How to get from the airport to Budapest.
You can get from Ferenc Liszt Airport by train, buses and taxis, and you can rent a car at the airport.
At the exit from each terminal there are taxi stands with the help of which you can reach the city in 20-30 minutes. The cost of the trip is about 10,000 forints (2500 rubles). The most popular taxi companies are: Fotaxi, CityTaxi, Volan taxi.
By bus.
To get to Budapest it is possible and on the city bus 200E, which stops at 1 and 2 terminals. On it you can reach the Kobanya-Kispest metro station of the final station of the blue M3 branch. The interval in the bus traffic is about 8-10 minutes.
Bus number 93 also runs from Terminal 1 to Kobanya-Kispest Metro. Bus tickets can be bought at the Tourinform office located in Terminal 1. Also tickets are sold by bus drivers.

In addition to city buses, AirportShuttle minibuses run to Budapest, designed for 8-11 people. The drivers of these buses take passengers to the right addresses. You can get to Budapest by train. The railway station is located 200 meters from Terminal 1, from terminals 2A and 2B to the station can be reached by bus 200E. The terminal station of this railway line is the Western Railway Station. On weekdays this route runs 111 trains, on weekends 92. The journey time is about 20-25 minutes, the interval between trains is about 30 minutes.
Tickets for the train are sold in Terminal 1 at the Tourinform office from 08:00 to 22:00, and tickets are also sold by inspectors when boarding a train. The fare is about 300 forints (about 75 rubles).
